One of London’s most-loved bakeries is getting a new home in Riyadh. East London favourite Lily Vanilli Bakery is set to make its Saudi debut later this year as Linnet, bringing its mix of beautifully crafted pastries, cakes and desserts to the capital.
The bakery will open at The Oberoi Sukoon Villas in Wadi Safar, an ultra-luxury resort that is also scheduled to welcome guests later this year. Linnet will take on a rather enviable spot within the property, serving as its poolside restaurant and lobby lounge throughout the day.
Guests can expect an enticing line-up of pastries and sweet treats, alongside savoury bites, Indian teas and Arabic coffee. The menu is designed to blend Lily Vanilli’s signature style with flavours suited to its new Riyadh setting. This gives guests a little taste of London with a regional twist.
Behind the venture is Lily Jones, the pastry chef and founder of Lily Vanilli. Jones has built a name for herself through a distinctive approach to baking. Her creations are known for combining nostalgic flavours with elaborate designs with a modern touch. This could mean a statement celebration cake, seasonal pastries, brownies and imaginative desserts.
