One of Riyadh’s biggest upcoming lifestyle destinations finally has an opening date. The Avenues Riyadh is set to welcome its first visitors in March 2027, bringing together hundreds of shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, and luxury hotels in one enormous destination.
Located in north Riyadh at the intersection of King Salman Road and King Fahd Road, the mega development spans around 1.8 million square metres, making it one of the largest mixed-use projects in Saudi Arabia.
Visitors can expect more than 1,300 retail stores, 19 cinema screens, and 9 themed districts, each offering a different shopping and entertainment experience. The development also includes parking for more than 15,000 vehicles, while its architecture blends traditional Najdi influences with modern design.
Construction is now around 89 per cent complete, with many retailers already fitting out their spaces ahead of the opening. Final testing and operational preparations are also underway.
The wider development will also include office space, residential apartments, and three luxury hotels: Waldorf Astoria, Canopy by Hilton, and Conrad. These are expected to open during a later phase in the first half of 2028.
The emphasis of Avenues Riyadh is more on the quality of the shopping experience than on the number of stores and amenities available to visitors. Visitors can look forward to diverse offerings and easy access to the venue.
Once it opens, The Avenues Riyadh is expected to become one of the city’s biggest lifestyle destinations, bringing together shopping, dining, entertainment, and hospitality under one roof.
