Saudi Sports for All Federation Starts the 10 Billion Steps Initiative

The Saudi Sports for All Federation has launched something called the 10 Billion Steps initiative. As part of Saudi Vision 2030, the initiative promotes active and healthy lifestyles by encouraging residents to walk 10 billion steps by the end of this year.

The 10 Billion Steps initiative runs from July to December 2026 under the slogan ‘Don’t Count Your Steps, Let Them Count’. It is available through the federation’s app. Users can keep a track of their daily progress and take part in other challenges and activities.

The initiative visualises health and movement not as a gym routine, but as small, simple steps taken every day. The aim is to make active routines more accessible for everyone as a shared national goal towards enhanced quality of life.

Shaima Saleh Al-Husseini, managing director at the Saudi Sports for All Federation, has said that the 10 Billion Steps initiative shows that beginnings are simple and that physical activity is already part of daily life more than residents realise. Steps taken work, school, university, home, and other places all contribute to building sustainable health habits.

The federation has said that the initiative will use an integrated approach. This includes digital engagement, partnerships, and individual participation.
