Westfield is getting ready to make its debut in Saudi Arabia, with Westfield Riyadh set to become one of the capital’s major new retail and entertainment destinations.
The brand was first announced for Saudi Arabia in 2025, with plans for destinations in both Riyadh and Jeddah. Since then, attention has turned to the Riyadh project, with recent glimpses offering a clearer idea of what is taking shape behind the scenes.
Westfield Riyadh is being designed as a large-scale destination that brings together shopping, dining and entertainment, rather than functioning solely as a traditional mall.
The development is expected to feature more than 300 stores, including more than 30 brands making their Saudi debut and over 75 flagship stores. It will also include a dedicated luxury precinct that brings together a selection of international luxury fashion and lifestyle brands.
For shoppers, the scale of the project means there should be plenty to explore, from familiar names to brands that are new to the Kingdom.
Shopping will only be one part of the offering. Westfield Riyadh is also expected to feature a digital immersive experience hub, with live shows scheduled every 30 minutes.
The development is also designed to make an impression. One of its most prominent architectural features is a large glass skylight spanning the destination, bringing natural light into the interior and enhancing the sense of scale.
Recent teasers have also hinted at further announcements. Westfield has promised several ‘iconic firsts’ that have yet to be revealed. The details could provide a clearer picture of the brands, experiences and attractions that will eventually occupy the destination.
When Will Westfield Riyadh Open?
Cenomi Centres previously targeted September 2026 for the opening of Westfield Riyadh. Further details on the final opening date and upcoming tenants are expected as the project progresses.
Located on Prince Turki Ibn Abdulaziz Al Awwal Road, the development is set to add another major destination to Riyadh’s increasingly diverse shopping, dining and entertainment scene.
