Things to Do in Riyadh: Weekend Plans for 14-16 August

String Art Workshop

Multi-sensory platform attaché Atelier in the Diplomatic Quarter is hosting a string art workshop on Friday, 14 August from 3 pm to 5 pm. Those interested can reserve a seat by visiting the link on the club’s social media page.

The session is a hands-on creative workshop where guests learn the technique of transforming simple threads into striking contemporary art pieces. The ticket of SAR 220 includes a selection of canapés and one beverage.

Marlie at Beast House

Australian house artist Marlie is making her debut at Beast House on Friday, 14 August from 9 pm to 3 am. The DJ will bring her signature sound to the dance floor, alongside local spinners Elfuego and TWO NZZ. It’s the perfect way to kickstart the weekend.

Fans can head to the creative hub’s Instagram page to secure their tickets. Several ticket options are available, including entry for ladies, gentlemen and couples, as well as balcony table packages.

Sounds Scoop by Rebecca

Riyadh’s musical hub, The Warehouse, at JAX District has another musical night in store on Saturday, 15 August at 8 pm. Sounds Scoop by Riyadh-based musician, Rebecca offers audiences a double scoop of live sound with plenty of deep cuts and sweet, haunting melodies.

The line-up includes hits such as Queen’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, ‘Wish You Were Here’ by Pink Floyd, Frank Sinatra’s ‘My Way’ and ‘Shallow’ by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper.

Dark Padel at The Garage

The Garage is a sports and recreation hub that makes for a great outing in Riyadh on the weekend. A game here is ideal for those looking to combine exercise with a friendly meet-up on a day off. The place offers the only dark padel courts in Riyadh.

Creative Sessions at Lift Studio & Space

Lift Studio & Space in JAX District is a creative spot worth checking out this weekend, with a packed programme of hands-on workshops running throughout August. Whether you fancy trying something new with friends or simply want a different way to spend an evening, there are several sessions to choose from.

On 14 and 15 August, summer tote bag painting workshops run from 6 pm to 8 pm, with prices starting from SAR 165. Jesmonite workshops are also taking place on both evenings from 7 pm to 9 pm for SAR 180. For something a little more flexible, DIY workshops are available throughout the day, with sessions lasting between one and four hours. Pink Moon is a yoga studio in Al Yasmeen, Riyadh. They offer an array of classes for adults and kids alike that ideal for a peaceful, relaxing weekend.
