Obaya Lounge sits inside Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, but it does not feel like somewhere designed only for hotel guests. Set beneath the atrium of Kingdom Centre, it is the kind of place people can visit for coffee, afternoon tea or a longer catch-up without needing a special occasion.
The setting feels polished, as you would expect from Four Seasons, but still comfortable enough to settle in for a while. The name Obaya comes from the Arabian horse associated with King Abdulaziz, while the interiors include details inspired by Saudi architecture, desert landscapes and traditional geometric patterns.
A Space Designed for Longer Visits
The lounge is one of those places where the setting matters almost as much as what is being served. High ceilings, sculptural trees and soft lighting make the space feel open, while the seating works for everything from business meetings to family visits and afternoons with friends.
The menu is available throughout the day and includes light meals, sandwiches, desserts, coffee and tea. Obaya opens daily from 8am until midnight, so it works just as well for a morning meeting as it does for coffee later in the evening.
Afternoon Tea with a Riyadh Twist
The Kingdom Centre-inspired afternoon tea is one of the most interesting reasons to visit. Instead of using a traditional tiered stand, the food is presented on a custom display shaped like Kingdom Centre. It is a small detail, but it makes the experience feel connected to Riyadh rather than like something that could be served in any hotel.
The menu includes savoury bites, pastries, desserts, scones and a choice of premium teas and speciality drinks. Current options include cucumber sandwiches, herb chicken pretzels, pistachio desserts, date flavours and mochi served with blueberry ice cream.
The full high tea is priced at SAR 365, with a smaller tea party option available for SAR 195. Obaya Lounge is best suited to afternoons when nobody is in a hurry. It is elegant without feeling overly formal and gives residents another reason to step inside one of Riyadh’s most recognisable buildings.
